Applications now open for the 2026 Education Scholarships
We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for the SSEF Education Scholarships.
Each year, SSEF awards two education scholarships to support the next generation of gemmologists. The scholarships give the recipients the opportunity to join an SSEF course free of charge, with flights and accommodation included.
For passionate individuals, this is an opportunity to deepen their knowledge, develop their skills and learn from leading experts at SSEF in Switzerland.
The scholarships honour two respected gemmologists and former SSEF directors: Prof. Dr. Henry A. Hänni and George Bosshart. Their outstanding contributions to gemmological research and education continue to inspire future generations.
The Henry A. Hänni Scholarship is open to applicants from gemstone-producing countries. The successful applicant can choose an SSEF course to attend in 2027.
The George Bosshart Scholarship is open to applicants worldwide. The scholarship covers participation in the Scientific Diamond course, which takes place from July 19 to 23, 2027.
