Applications now open for the Second Edition of the SSEF Education Scholarships
SSEF is delighted to launch the second edition of its two annual educational scholarships in gemmology.
Each scholarship offers the winner the opportunity to attend a course at SSEF free of charge. In addition, SSEF will cover the costs of economy flights and hotel accommodation (for one participant) required to join the course.
With these scholarships, the SSEF Foundation reaffirms its mission to make gemmological education more accessible to students who are passionate about the field but may face financial barriers. Since 1972, the SSEF Foundation has been committed to supporting excellence and knowledge in the jewellery and gemstone industry.
The two scholarships are named in honour of Henry A. Hänni and George Bosshart, both former directors of SSEF who made outstanding contributions to gemmological research and education. This year, the scholarships carry a particularly deep meaning, as we remember and honour the late Prof. Hänni, who sadly passed away in early 2025.
Applications are now open until November 15th 2025, with the winners to be announced on December 15th 2025.
