How to place an order correctly and ensure your items are shipped efficiently:

Download the client order form (pdf) and follow these instructions:

  1. Please fill out the SSEF client form with all the informations needed and include it in your parcel. It is mandatory to sign this form. 
  2. Include a pro forma invoice, too, with the weight and insurance value of each stone, pearl or item of jewellery.
  3. Please fax or email us the pro forma invoice, so that we are informed about your mailing as well.

SSEF-Ferrari Shuttle

For a smooth and fast track shipping service SSEF offers shuttles in collaboration with Ferrari Express Inc. 

Your advantages using the SSEF shuttle:

  • Easy ordering: Just dial one of the below indicated Ferrari phone numbers.

  • Smooth transportation: fast and safe door-to-door delivery.
  • Simple accounting: SSEF testing and shipment charges, all onjust one invoice.

 

Whether you send one item or several does not matter, you will only be charged one round-trip fee and possibly a liability fee depending on the total declared value (for details see below). Shipping (and liability) for goods is invoiced by SSEF. The goods have to be insured by the client. If required, then Ferrari Express can offer you a customized insurance for 0.08% of the value. Please specify this when you order the shuttle.

  • Costs: 80.- Swiss Francs per round trip. For values > 500’000 Swiss Francs, an additional liability fee of 0.025% is charged for the amount exceeding this limit, based on the declared value.

How does it work?

You contact the Malca-Amit or Ferrari office in your country and mention that you need a round trip service for certification/ expertise of your gems to the SSEF in Basel.
You define your rate for freight and liability for export and import, i.e. to and from SSEF in Basel.
Included in the SSEF round-trip package of both providers, Malca-Amit and Ferrari, are the following services:

  • Pick up and delivery in the city of your choice (London, Paris, New York, Hongkong, Bangkok)
  • Airfreight valuable cargo
  • Temporary export-import in the appropriate cities (London, Paris, New York, Hongkong, Bangkok)
  • Domestic transport: Zurich/Geneva Airport to Basel; Basel to Zurich/Geneva Airport
  • Swiss customs: VAT guarantee fees for Temporary Import Bond (TIB)
