Want to get expert knowledge on
diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds?

SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute offers you the possibility to get an up-to-date formation on the detection of new treatments in diamonds and coloured gemstones (e.g. HPHT treated diamonds, Be-diffusion treated corundum, fissure filled emeralds).

The one week formation (SSEF Advanced Training) is scheduled from
September 28th to October 2nd, 2009 with the modules:

Mon. September 28 Heat treatment of sapphire and ruby:
Microscopic features for a detection of heat treated rubies and sapphires
Tue. September 29 Origin determination of ruby:
Methods and possibilities of an origin determination
Wed. September 30 Origin determination of ruby:
Methods and possibilities of an origin determination
Thu. October 1 Clarity enhancement and origin determination of emerald:
Detection of fissure filled emerald and determination of origin of emeralds
Fri. October 2 Practical training

The course is for the experienced gemmologist, who wants to get hands-on practical training by internationally renowed gemmologists on the most debated issues in the gemstone trade.
The course is held only for a small number of international students. Be part of this group and register as soon as possible, as the number of students is limited to 6 participants.

The course fee is 3000.- Swiss Francs.
